(Review for Nintendo Switch version)

So Qubic and friends decided to have a holiday contest and also marked down their games, big time. Since I finally have a little time to myself, I decided why not try some of these games. So I will be going through at least five of their games and doing mini reviews.

Let's start with Rekt. Rekt is a shorter game which you can just pick up and play for like half an hour and have fun. Rekt is an arena based stunt game with a bunch of challenges for you to complete. You can play alone or if you have friends, unlike me, you can play multiplayer.

The goal of the game is score points. Scoring points will allow you access to different arenas. It will also allow you to unlock new cars. And let me tell you there is an abundance of vehicles in this game. You have traditional race cars. But you also have some that are a play on words like there's a Nicola which is obviously Tesla. And speaking of Tesla there's a Cyberduck (I still need to unlock this one). Also among the vehicles you had some random choices like a skateboard, a sled, an ice cream truck, and even a street sweeper. And the street sweeper moves as you would expect a street sweeper to move. Like a house on wheels.

The game is all about stunts and what you can pull off. There’s flips, spins, backflips, and even rail slides. You’re given X amount of time and 3 objectives each stage. There are powerups to get more time so you can pull off more stunts. The arenas are pretty big and have ramps, rings and loops everywhere. The rails aren’t as bountiful and you’ll find they’re hard to slide on. But when you hit one, you’ll be hooked on trying to get there again.

It's a fun game you can pick up at any time just to kill a few minutes or you can play with your friends. One day I'm going to make some friends so I can find out what that's like. This game is definitely an all ages type game. I can see kids having fun with this doing backflips, spinning and everything else. If I was to put a number on it, it would probably be a 7.5/10. The game has a decent amount of things to do but they are limited.

Are you ready to Get Rekt?
