Hey what’s up. Been a long time right? Seems like my life took a little crazy turn for a while and now I’m back. At least I’m trying to be back.

Let’s kick it off with a few games that are going to Kickstarter, one that’s already met its goal on Kickstarter and another that was planned for Kickstarter but took a different route.

The first one is Altered Alma. Described as a space opera metroidvania. Anyone who knows me knows that the cyberpunk aesthetic caught my eye before anything else.

Here’s a trailer for you

Runa is a game I’ve had my eyes on for a while. If you follow me on Twitter then you’ve seen the retweets. The game is described as An adventure inspired by JRPG classics, with turn-based battles, social links and a story-rich science fantasy world. This game reminds me of the Xenoblade games. I’m sure we’ll learn more as we get closer to the release date.

You can follow along on Twitter at @runarpg. There’s plenty of eye candy to look at there.

White Raven looks like it’s actually closer to release than the others on this list. It already had a successful Kickstarter but you can still jump in. There’s so much to talk about with this game. So many elements to it to discover. It’s an open world tactical RPG but you can romance enemies, solve mysteries, grow and build your tribe and more. You can follow along on Twitter @whiteravengame

The next game on the list is Edenfall, a story driven action RPG. This is one that is done by a solo dev and that alone is insane when you see the level of detail that has been put into this already. Ironically it started in 2020 which is around the same time I started writing a light novel and we’re both looking at launching our Kickstarters around the same time. Sometimes things don’t happen on your time but happen when they’re supposed to. This is Edenfall’s time.

Edenfall is an atmospheric adventure RPGand you have to help restore Eden as a human, raccoon, raven or wolf. Each has their own style of play.

Welcome to Edenfall by @everfluxgames

One thing that I noticed on the dev side is I guess there was a lack of focus at one point so they brought in Jacky Martin to help. I started noticing Jacky a while ago but I wasn’t sure of what Gentleland had to offer. Here’s a clue to the kind of help you can receive if that’s a service you need. You can reach Jacky Martin or just follow along at @thejackymartin

There’s another one that was planned to be on Kickstarter but unfortunately the developer had some issues that he had to take care of. That game is Forlorn Memories. Again we’re dealing with a solo dev and if you look through his Twitter page you’ll see he’s had a lot of things that he’s had to overcome to get the game to where it is and where it’s going. For this one I’m going to drop a few tweets BUT I want to give Alex a dedicated first look.

This is just a small look into some of the things he’s been dealing with to make this happen.

And of course a look at the game. This game also has many aspects which we’ll take a look at in the future.

You can follow the dev on Twitter at @forlornalex and the game at @forlornmemories

Until next time.
